Our Mission

To bring cycling to all of riders while encouraging healthy lifestyles, friendship, teamwork, and fun. The Gaston County Cyclists Club encourages and promotes the use of the bicycle as a means of recreation, fitness, and transportation while supporting cycling growth within the community through education and advocacy. The club also promotes local charities and civic causes through participation and financial contributions.

🚴 Wednesday Night Ride

Membership required to participate. Membership forms will be available pre-ride. A blinking rear light is required, and a front light is recommended. Safety first!

πŸ“ Start Time & Location:

Wheels down at 6:00 PM* (check Facebook for updates) from Traust Brewery – 128 S Main St. Parking available beside and behind the brewery. Join us for food and drinks after the ride! 🍻

πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ Ride Details:

This ride is open to both competitive and non-competitive cyclists.

  • Routes: 14, 23, and 31 miles (distances shorten in winter).
  • Pace depends on rider ability (A, B, or C groups).
  • Ride distance increases as days get longer.
πŸ—‚ Group Breakdown:

A designated ride leader for each group.

  • A Group: 20-21 MPH
  • B+ Group: 18-19 MPH
  • B Group: 16-18 MPH
  • C Group: 14-16 MPH (NO DROP POLICY!)

A group departs first at 6:00 PM, followed by B, then C.

Obey GCC safety rules. This is a non-supported ride.
